Head coaches Cara Isaak and Lianna Bestvater have strengthened their roster at a very important position, securing the commitment of goalkeeper Morgan Pierce for the 2021 MCAC season. The soon-to-be Sturgeon Heights Collegiate graduate comes to the Blazers with a CV that boasts a impressive line of championship trophies and evidence of Pierce's ability to prevent goals by way of athleticism, positioning and organizing her defenders.

Defenders who can read the game, commit to a challenge and contribute offensively are hard to come by, but the CMU head coaching tandem of Cara Isaak and Lianna Bestvater believe that their most recent signing can fit the bill.
The Blazers have received the commitment of Sturgeon Heights Collegiate's fullback, Faith Barnett. The defender's youth career tells a story of being both a on-field leader and a player confident to walk into a team and make an instant impact.

Cara Isaak and Lianna Bestvater continue to add to their CMU women's soccer roster as they build towards the 2021 MCAC season, this week announcing the commitment of Collegé Beliveau defender Alyssa Denora.
A former club Most Valuable Player, as voted by her coaches and teammates, Denora has shared her development between Lorette CC on the outdoor pitch and Winakwa CC indoors.

The CMU women's soccer coaching staff has not only turned their focus and attention to September 2021, excitement about future opportunities to compete on a national stage has Lianna Bestvater and Cara Isaak looking to create a program that can consistently challenge for championship trophies in Manitoba and beyond.
One piece of that future puzzle will be recent-commit, Baillee Wiebe; a brave, confident goalkeeper from the Hanover Fusion soccer club. Currently a Grade 11 student at Steinbach Regional Secondary, Wiebe competes with her club team in the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) where she helped Fusion to a second-place finish in the 2020 season and added a 2nd place finish in the Golden Boy Tournament last summer.

Time off from the MCAC schedule has given a new opportunity for CMU varsity teams to focus their attention on personal and community development. Members of the women's volleyball, basketball and soccer programs began October by spending three days on campus in Marpeck Commons, requesting donations of hygiene products in support of Winnipeg's North End Women's Centre (NEWC).
