Blazers Men's Volleyball Ink Local Talent Francisco

The CMU Men's Volleyball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Albert Francisco for the 2022-23 MCAC season. The local Shaftesbury High product comes to CMU after starting his post-secondary studies at the University of Manitoba.

Albert Francisco may have spent the last two years studying at the University of Manitoba, but time away from competitive volleyball has only made his desire to return to high-level competition greater than ever.  The 5'11" versatility player has the chance to fill the void at libero left by graduating player Levi Klassen, but may also showcase his athleticism at left side throughout the coming year.

Joshua Werbiski: March's Zueike Male Athlete of the Month

Congratulations to Joshua Werbiski of Men's Volleyball on being selected the CMU Zueike Male Athlete of the Month for March. The second year middle played a huge part in his Blazers' successful MCAC Championship defense, and led the team to represent Manitoba for the first time at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships in Quebec City.

Blazers Men's Basketball Welcomes Saskatchewan Product to the Program

The CMU Men's Basketball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Daniel Cameron for the 2022-23 MCAC and NIAC seasons. The Dr Martin Leboldus High product comes to CMU with quality experiences at the club and high school level in Saskatchewan.

Cameron will contribute an immediate impact to the CMU lineup next season adding more height and skill to the Blazer perimeter, standing 6'4" with the skillset of a talented point or shooting guard.

Women's Volleyball Adds Power to Open their 2022-23 Recruiting Class

The CMU Women's Volleyball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Abby Cassidy for the 2022-23 MCAC season. The Warren Collegiate Institute product comes to CMU with plenty of experience at the club and high school varsity levels in Manitoba.

The 5'10" left side will add more height to the Blazers' outside attack, and will look to fill the shoes of graduating Blazer Lydawn McGarry, who along with middle Chloe Friesen and setter Renee Desroches, will leave spots in the starting rotation up for grabs in the coming season.
