The Blazers Men's Volleyball team arrived home in Winnipeg on Monday afternoon fresh off their first appearance at a CCAA National Championship as Manitoba's representative at the tournament. For the first time in school history the CMU Blazers will send a team to represent Manitoba and the MCAC at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Nationals, when the men's volleyball squad flies to Quebec City on Wednesday. But the squad re-grouped, largely due to the consistent play of veteran leader McKenzie, who put in some clutch performances down the final stretch of the season. Despite their winning record, the Blazers have found themselves in a lot of close games this season, and McKenzie's big-game experience has certainly factored into the Blazers being able to come out on top more often than not.
