With approximately thirty years of basketball coaching experience, as well as a competitive career at both Queen's University and Royal Military College in the OUA conference of USports, Sharlene Harding joined the Blazers in the spring of 2024 after putting down roots in Winnipeg.

Her coaching highlights include an extensive list of head and assistant coaching positions from the high school level up to the International Olympic Committee sanctioned Conseil International des Sports Milataires (CISM) Canadian Armed Forces Women's Basketball team. A Winnipeg resident since 2021, Harding has coached locally with the Basketball Manitoba Targeted Athlete Program (TAP) and the Manitoba U17 Provincial Women's Basketball Team since her arrival.

NCCP Train to Compete certified and also working on a post graduate certificate in High Performance Coaching and Technical Leadership through UBC, Harding is a great motivator and is looking forward to instilling leadership in her team both on and off the court for the upcoming season. She comes into a program that has seen huge success; the Blazers were MCAC Champions for five consecutive seasons beginning with the 2017-18 season, and ending with the 2022-23.
