Blazers WSC Save Big Signing Wyatt for Last

The CMU Women's Soccer program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Natalie Wyatt for the 2024-25 MCAC season. The 2023 Glenlawn grad is excited to get back into competitive game action with CMU, and will look to backstop the Blazers throughout this year's campaign.

Joining her fellow former Glenlawn Lion, Juliana Millan, Wyatt is also transferring to CMU after a year spent studying elsewhere, but coming back to competitive soccer has proven too strong a call to ignore for the experienced keeper. While she played for Glenlawn her two varsity seasons, her extensive experience comes more from the club side of the game.

Women's Soccer Rounds out Their Roster with Versatile Ella Grijalva

The CMU Women's Soccer program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Ella Grijalva for the 2024-25 MCAC season. The College Beliveau Barracuda will look to draw on her multi-sport background to give the Blazers another all-around option on the pitch this fall.

A multi-sport student-athlete, Grijalva competed for her high school in a number of disciplines, most notably badminton, but also in cross country, curling, and ultimate frisbee in addition to the very brief high school soccer season. The Barracudas compete at the "AAA" level under the MHSAA, and Grijalva was a regular attendee at provincial championships, attending the top tournament in cross country, curling, ultimate, and badminton during the 2022-23 season. After qualifying for the provincial championships this past badminton season, Grijalva broke a school record for most consecutive showings at the tournament. Twice a school Athlete of the Month, Grijalva was also College Beliveau's nominee for the MHSAA Scholar Athlete Award, in which she was chosen as a finalist for all of Manitoba. A recipient of Beliveau's 2024 Sports Bursary, an award presented to the student who had a positive impact on the sport culture at the school in terms of sportsmanship, volunteerism, confidence, and being an excellent ambassador for the school, the monetary award will go towards her tuition at CMU this fall.

Blazers WSC Looking for More in the Back of the Net with Blackmore

The CMU Women's Soccer program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Madeline Blackmore for the 2024-25 MCAC season. The BoniVital product and Beliveau Barracuda will add more scoring touch to the Blazers lineup on what's shaping up to be an already talent-laden squad.

A graduate of College Beliveau this past June, her Barracuda team were semi-finalists in the SCAC zone of MHSAA's "AAA" division this past outdoor high school season. The team's striker and captain led the charge for Beliveau, showcasing her dedicated team leadership and aggressive offensive play.

Blazers Women's Soccer Add to their Attack with Millan

The CMU Women's Soccer program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Juliana Millan for the 2024-25 MCAC season. The Colombian-born forward is excited to get back on the pitch with the Blazers after two years of study at the University of Manitoba.

A graduate of Glenlawn Collegiate in 2022, Millan featured on her varsity Lions team from her grade nine year all the way through to her graduating year, co-captaining the squad for her final two years there. The left-footed striker or left winger was a force to be reckoned with on the attacking side of the ball during the short high school season. A multi-sport athlete, Millan also played volleyball and badminton while at Glenlawn, making her both proficient on the turf as well as the court.

Opposition Will be Seeing Double as Blazers WSC Sign Brar Twins

The CMU Women's Soccer program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Muneet and Summet Brar for the 2024-25 MCAC season. The Kildonan East and Phoenix Club products will patrol both ends of the pitch with Muneet on the backline and Sumeet at striker once the season kicks off in September.

Graduates of Kildonan East Collegiate in 2022, both Brars have spent their year since graduating studying at the University of Manitoba but have made the decision to transfer to CMU to continue their post-secondary education to play under the Blazers new head coach, Jason Moist. While they both suited up for their high school Reivers squad in the KPAC zone of MHSAA's "AAAA" division, it was the club scene where the duo really saw their game blossom.
