Jason Moist Returns to CMU to Once Again Lead Blazers Women's Soccer Program

After a year away from the Blazers, Women's Soccer head coach Jason Moist is returning to the fold beginning with the 2026 futsal season, as he picks up the program in the hopes of lifting it to new heights. Jason brings with him a high level of experience in technical coaching and a very strong resume of past and current roles coaching in Manitoba.

The 2023 Club Coach of the Year at Bonivital Soccer Club has a wealth of knowledge of the game, following more than thirty years of playing experience himself. He holds Certified National B, Youth, and Youth Goalkeeping licenses through the Canada Soccer Association, has recently completed his US National B license, and is currently certifying for his CONCACAF A license, just to name a few. His qualifications jump off the page as much as his resume of current and past coaching roles, which include positions as Technical Coach and Assistant Coach with the Manitoba Soccer Association's Major League Soccer Vancouver Whitecaps Residency/REX program, Technical Coach with Canadian Premier League Valour FC youth academy program, Assistant Coach with the University of Winnipeg Wesmen women's soccer program, and the aforementioned more than fifteen years of head coach experience with Bonivital Soccer Club.

With a winter season of indoor futsal ahead and a good runway for recruiting for the 2026/2027 season, Jason has the tools to improve the program and build it into a more competitive club. He has already met the team, many of whom he recruited during his year as head coach, and has been involved in training with the current Blazers' futsal team, who have the new MCAC single-day game season format to look forward to, which kicks off in January.
