Multi-Talented Carman Product Signs Letter Of Intent With Men's Basketball

Riley Ens knows a thing or two about winning. The 6'2 forward led the Carman Cougars to the MHSAA 2A Provincial Championship in Boy's Volleyball, Hockey and the sport he will suit up for at CMU, Basketball.

In his Grade 12 year, Ens averaged 30 points and 14 rebounds per game to earn selection as the 2017 2A Boy's Player of the Year, 2017 2A Boy's Player's Choice Award and the 2017 2A Boys Provincial Most Valuable Player Award. Ens also participated in the 2017 "A-3A" Basketball Manitoba Graduating All-Star festivities at St. Paul's High School in April.

Talented Morris Two-Sport Athlete Chooses CMU For Women's Volleyball

The decision to pursue varsity volleyball at the collegiate level was not the easiest one for Morris Mavericks' Jessica Edel. The 5'10 volleyball and basketball player was selected as the Players Choice Award Winner at both the 2016 MHSAA Volleyball Provincials and the 2017 Basketball Provincials and was sought after to by college and university varsity coaches to compete in both sports.

Centurion's All-Star Guard Commits To CMU For Women's Basketball

Fort Richmond Collegiate's Shirliz Apiyo is the latest recruit to sign on to play Women's Basketball at CMU in 2017-18. The 5'5 point guard averaged 10-plus points a game in her senior year of high school, earning a selection to the 2017 MHSAA Graduating All-Star Game that took place last month at Basketball Manitoba's Awards Weekend hosted by St. Paul's High School.

Men's Soccer Captain Honoured With President's Medal At 2017 Convocation

Men's Soccer team captain Nick Czehryn along with fellow graduate Anika Reynar were honoured with the prestigeous President's Medals at the 2017 CMU Graduation Convocation on Sunday afternoon. The President's Medal recognizes excellence in scholarship, leadership and service.

Czerhyn's CMU journey began in 2012. Recruited to play Men's Soccer from Winnipeg's MBCI (Mennonite Brethern Collegiate Institute), Czehryn was surprised to discover that he was able to pursue his lofty academic goals at CMU.

Isaac Recognized By Basketball Manitoba as 2016-17 MCAC Coach Of The Year

After four seasons in charge, Head Coach Billy Isaac won the grand prize in Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference Men's Basketball in February, claiming CMU's  first conference championship banner in almost a decade. On Saturday afternoon, Isaac was recognized by Basketball Manitoba at their 2017 Awards Banquet at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg, as the MCAC Men's Basketball Coach Of The Year.
