Former NTC Player, Meconse, Signs Letter of Intent With Men's Soccer

Men's Soccer is excited to announce the commitment of former National Training Centre (NTC) and UNBC midfielder/striker Greg Meconse for the 2017 MCAC Season.
"Greg is a solid all-around addition," said head coach Russell Willms who enters his tenth season with the program, "his technical ability is at a top-level, his work rate is very high and he clearly enjoys training and playing the game. He will be a key component of our team and will fit in extremely well with our group of players."

Women's Volleyball is very happy to announce the commitment of Middle Blocker Chloe Friesen for the 2017-18 MCAC season. The former Morden Collegiate star fills a key positional need for the team who saw Rayzanna Kehler, Tasha Enns and Edina-Preteau all graduate last spring after winning their first MCAC Championship since 2009.

Lydawn McGarry of Sanford Collegiate has signed her letter of intent to play Women's Volleyball for CMU beginning in the 2017-18 MCAC season. Despite being somewhat undersized at 5'6, McGarry is an explosive and technically sound player who head coach Evelyn Kampen has high expectations for in her first season of university volleyball.

Men's Volleyball is very happy to announce the signing of Linden Christian's Carter Hofer for the 2017-18 MCAC Season. The physical 6'3 left-side attacker comes to CMU with an extensive resume of successes at the high school and club level.
The Linden Wings reached new heights in Hofer's Grade 12 season when the traditionally 'AAA' team tackled the Manitoba High School's 'AAAA' Boys division. Entering as 'AAAA' Provincials as the #6-ranked team, the Wings advanced through a round to the quarterfinals.

It will be hard to miss Josh Marshall when he steps onto the Loewen hardcourt next season. The towering 6'7 product of Dauphin Regional recently made his commitment to join the Blazers for 2017-18 and is a player who will be a tough matchup for MCAC and NIAC opponents.
"Josh will bring a very dynamic offensive game to the court for us," said head coach Billy Isaac, who is entering his fifth season with the Blazers, "He handles the ball really well for a big man and as a result he creates a tremendous amount of offensive opportunities for himself."
