In his first full year of senior men's play in the Western Ontario Soccer League, the 6'2 target man has collected 8 goals through 10 matches for the Taxandria Falcons where he has been splitting his availability with the club's 3rd and 4th Division teams.

DMCI Maroons All-Star Guard Settles On CMU For 2018-19

Men's Basketball is happy to announce the commitment of Daniel McIntyre Collegiate's Binh Nguyen for the 2018-19 season after the 5'10 Guard signed his letter of intent to join the Blazers program earlier this month. Nguyen starred for the Maroons in his senior year averaging a double-double of more than 17 points and 10 rebounds per game while competeing in the Manitoba High School's 'AAAA' Tier 2.

CMU Women's Basketball is very pleased to announce the commitment of R.D. Parker's Hannah Murdy for the 2018-19 Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season. The 5'7 Guard was selected first-team All-Manitoba and a Provincial All-star in her graduating season after leading the Trojans to the 2018 Manitoba High School 'AAA' Girls Basketball Championship by knock off the University of Winnipeg Collegiate in overtime in a thrilling final game.

Willms Steps Down From Men's Soccer Coaching Position After 10 Seasons

After a decade in charge of the Men's Soccer program at CMU, Russell Willms has announced that he will be stepping down from the position to focus more specifically on his role as Athletics Director.

Willms led the Blazers to MCAC Conference Championship Finals in 2008, 2009 and 2015. Men's Soccer topped all teams in the 2015 regular season, when they finished with a record of 7-1-2. On the futsal court, Willms had his greatest coaching success when he lead CMU to a Copa de la Paz Championship in 2015.

Rodriguez Enters As New CMU Women's Volleyball Head Coach

CMU Athletics would like to introduce Roy Rodriguez as the new Head Coach of the Women's Volleyball Program. Well established in the local volleyball community, Rodriguez has already gotten his coaching feet wet in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Confererence for parts of five seasons. From 2008 to 2011, Rodriguez was part of the Red River Rebels men's coaching staff, working under head coach Dan Gilbert and current Queen's University Women's Volleyball Head Coach Ryan Ratushniak, former Red River Athletics Director. For the next two seasons, Rodriguez would join the Rebels women's coaching staff. In 2014, Rodriguez had a brief stint as an assistant coach with CMU, under former Blazers Head Coach Joe Moore.
