Anna Pyne: February's Lionheart Sports Female Athlete of the Month
Congratulations to Anna Pyne of Women's Basketball on being selected CMU's Lionheart Sports Female Athlete of the Month for February. The 5'4 guard showed the heart of a lion as she fought back from a serious head injury that forced the rookie off the court since November 15th. Pyne returned to play on February 1st, making an immediate impact with her hustle to help the Blazers rebound against Providence on home court, 24 hours after the Pilots handed CMU their second loss of the NIAC season.

Marx-Houndle led the Blazers to a record of 4-1 through the month of November, good for a share of first-place in the NIAC Women's Basketball standings as the conference winds down for exams and the approaching semester break.
