Men's Basketball Add Some Spark with Quick Guard Braeden Fernandez
The CMU Men's Basketball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Braeden Fernandez for the 2022-23 MCAC and NIAC seasons. The local Kelvin High product will bring a quick play-making ability to the Blazers backcourt when he joins the squad for the upcoming year.
A 2020 graduate from Kelvin High school, Fernandez has been keeping his skills sharp with Legacy Prep, where he was contacted by Blazers head coach Scott Martin after exhibitions with the CMU squad last season. Fernandez marks the fifth signing of the offseason for Martin in a guard-heavy recruiting class. The Blazers head coach is looking to fill the holes left by graduated star guard Seth McKenzie who received his diploma this past April, as well as the spot left open by the men's basketball most valuable player Isaiah Cole, who transferred to the University of Winnipeg Wesmen for the upcoming season.

Men's Basketball Adds Team Manitoba Talent Guaring
The CMU Men's Basketball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Marco Guaring for the 2022-23 MCAC and NIAC seasons. The local St Paul's High product will bring top-end talent to the Blazers' backcourt along with plenty of big-game and championship experience.
Guaring is the latest of head coach Scott Martin's signings and will join a recruiting class brimming with potential to take the team to the next level and hopefully capture the team's first championship since 2017. He has many basketball endeavours on the go this summer, and will look to come into CMU at the top of his game.

Patience Pays Off as Coach Martin Inks Thacker
The CMU Men's Basketball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Ethan Thacker for the 2022-23 MCAC and NIAC seasons. The Dauphin Regional Comprehensive product joins a strong recruiting class from West of Winnipeg.
A 2019 high school graduate, Thacker comes to CMU after a hiatus from competitive basketball, but has been keeping busy playing in the Manitoba Major Junior Football League (MMJFL) where his St Vital Mustangs won this past season's championship. Thacker was also announced earlier this year as the league's top scorer over the previous season.

Men's Basketball Adds Neufeld to Continue the Blazers Family Connection
The CMU Men's Basketball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Derek Neufeld for the 2022-23 MCAC and NIAC seasons. The Walter W. Brown product joins new teammate Daniel Cameron as the second Saskatchewan player to sign on with Blazers men's basketball this spring.
Derek comes to CMU and joins a line of siblings that have impacted Blazers programs over the last number of years, including his sister Rachel Neufeld, who currently features for Blazers women's soccer, as well as older brother Jesse Neufeld, who was with Blazers men's volleyball from 2017-2019.

Blazers Men's Basketball Welcomes Saskatchewan Product to the Program
The CMU Men's Basketball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Daniel Cameron for the 2022-23 MCAC and NIAC seasons. The Dr Martin Leboldus High product comes to CMU with quality experiences at the club and high school level in Saskatchewan.
Cameron will contribute an immediate impact to the CMU lineup next season adding more height and skill to the Blazer perimeter, standing 6'4" with the skillset of a talented point or shooting guard.
