A Big Win Downtown Has Men's Basketball Buzzing Into The Break
On Wednesday night, Men's Basketball did what no team had been able to do thus far in the 2015-16 MCAC season; defeat the University of Winnipeg College Wesmen, and the Blazers did it in style overcoming a fourth quarter deficit and an injury list that grew over the course of the game, to move their record to 3-3 on the back of a 73-67 win.

Capping the first half of the season last night, with their sixth consecutive conference win, Larabie is helping the Blazers to their best ever start. Larabie has quietly gone about filling the stat sheet this month in many categories that have helped CMU to their undefeated record and first-place in MCAC.

The 6'4 first-year middle capped off a strong month of play by helping Men's Volleyball to their first Western Canadian Championship last weekend in Swift Current, sweeping through the round-robin and playoffs in perfect form.

Back to back trips out west have seen Men's Volleyball fall just short of gold the past two seasons. Being called "Finalists" makes for a long journey home, especially when you are returning to snow, term papers and final exams.
It was third time's a charm this year in Swift Current though. CMU got it done in style too, taking just twelve sets to win six best of three matches en route to their first Western Canadian College Open Championship.

Finalists for each of the past two years at the Western Canadian College Volleyball Championships, Men's Volleyball appears poised and are more than ready to put their top performance together this weekend in Swift Current as they pursue their first Western Championship.
The Blazers showed a new level of experience and a new ability to overcome a moment of self-doubt in Tuesday night's home court win. Their opponents, the defending Western Canadian Men's Champions and defending MCAC Champions, Red River Rebels, who are also the early leaders this season with a record of 5-1.
