With a perfect record of 3-0 in MCAC conference play, Women's Basketball is ready to enter the busiest part of their semester beginning tonight when the Blazers host a familiar face in the Providence Pilots. Next up for CMU, the Blazers travel to Minnesota on Friday to take the court against the AFLBS Conquerors in Plymouth. The series in Minnesota will mark the first official competitions in the Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NIAC) for CMU.

Congratulations to Lydia Balsillie of Women's Soccer on being selected The Recovery Spot Female Athlete of the Month for October.

The rookie goalkeeper led CMU's push for the playoffs, collecting nine points in October after a difficult start to the 2016 MCAC Season that had the Blazers sitting uncomfortably at the bottom of the standings, unable to take even a single point from their opening five matches.

Letkeman Receives First MVP Selection As MCAC Announces 2016 All-Conference Team

As Men's Soccer prepares for the biggest weekend of their season, on Friday afternoon the MCAC announced the eleven players selected to the All-Conference Team and the 2016 Most Valuable Player.

Receiving the most votes for outstanding performance was CMU's fifth year midfielder Andrew Letkeman (pictured centre). The veteran Blazer was recognized in each of his previous four seasons in the MCAC with All-Conference honours, but the title of the MCAC's top player had always been held by his counterparts.

Men's Soccer Limps Into Championship Weekend With High Expectations

Hampered by a serious string of injuries through the critical month of October, Men's Soccer is preparing for the biggest weekend of their season beginning Saturday afternoon when the #3 ranked Blazers kickoff with the #2 Red River Rebels in the first round of the 2016 MCAC Final Fours.

The string of problems started for the Blazers when leading goal-scorer Ben Wride received a head injury at training that has kept the fourth year out of the CMU lineup since October 2nd.
