Congratulations to Makoy Penner of Men's Volleyball on being selected the CMU Blazers Men's Athlete Of The Month for November. The 6'4" middle attacker had his Blazers firing on all cylinders this month and are riding a six match winning streak as they prepare to lock horns with the only team that has managed a win against the defending MCAC Champions, the undefeated Providence Pilots.

Make it seven wins in a row for Women's Basketball after the Blazers scored back to back wins on Friday and Saturday night over the Providence Pilots.
On Friday night, a tight first quarter that ended 14-14 erupted into a 63-49 win for the home team after the Blazers outscored Providence 25-13 during the second quarter.

The defending MCAC Women's Volleyball Champions are back flying high after back to back home courts wins over the ACC Cougars last weekend. CMU opened the 2017-18 Regular Season with shaky performances against the Providence Pilots and Red River Rebels, costing the Blazers two losses.
With a record now even at 2 wins and 2 losses, Women's Volleyball enters an important home and away challenge with the USB Rouges, Friday night in St-Boniface and Saturday night in the Loewen Athletic Centre; matches that could make or break their first half record.

The Route 90 Showdown between CMU and the Red River Rebels didn't disappoint the home crowd on Sunday afternoon as the Blazers came from behind to defeat their cross town rivals 71-68.
Trailing 20-11 after ten minutes, CMU began to find their offensive game late in the second quarter. Rookie guard Kniel Sullera led the charge, scoring 10 points on 4 of 6 shooting and added 3 assists to change momentum. The teams went to the break separated by 9 points; 39-30 in favour of the Rebels.

Women's Basketball is charging into the heart of their schedule holding a combined preseason and NIAC record of 6-2 as they prepare for one of their most challenging encounters on Sunday afternoon with their cross-town rivals, the Red River Rebels.
A contest often referred to as the "Route 90 Showdown" it has been CMU who have held the upper hand during the regular season but the Rebels who seem to have the Blazers number when it comes to Championship time. Red River and head coach Jae Pangilanan have captured MCAC banners in Women's Basketball dating back to 2011.
