2020 MCAC Women's Futsal Regular Season Schedule Released

Though not yet a thriving sport at the CCAA-level, the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference released their 2020 regular season schedule for Women's futsal on Friday afternoon, continuing to be the only regional conference in Canada to offer futsal in a full regular season, Tier 1, format. CMU kicks off the 2020 season on January 11th with a pilgrimage to Brandon to face the Brandon Bobcats and ACC Cougars.

One day after the Team Manitoba roster for the 2020 North American Indigenous Games in Halifax (K'jipuktuk in Mi'kmaq) was publicly announced, the CMU Women's Volleyball program has introduced Tammy Mitchell of Grand Rapids First Nation into the Blazers' squad assembled to challenge for the 2020 MCAC Championship banner.

Big news out of the newest regional conference of the CCAA on Thursday, as the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference announced their expanded regular season Men's Volleyball schedule for 2019-20. Lengthened by four matches, the Blazers will begin their first of ten home matches on Wednesday, October 30th when they host the defending MCAC Champions, the Providence Pilots for a 6:00pm start.

On Thursday, the newest regional conference of the CCAA, the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference, released their 2019-20 Women's Volleyball schedule. Like the soccer schedule, released on Wednesday, the Blazers will open their season at home against the Providence Pilots with the volleyball edition coming to the Loewen Athletic Centre on October 30.

It's been four summer's since Gode Katembo was listed high on the CMU Men's Soccer recruitment list. The former Team Manitoba Provincial program participant would settle on Red River College to begin his MCAC career where he played a key role in a dominant Rebels' team that went to the 2016 Conference Championship, losing only one game in the regular season.
