St. Norbert Guard Set To Make College Basketball Splash With CMU Blazers

After leading St. Norbert Collegiate to an SCAC Championship and a Manitoba 'AAA' Provincial Finals, Pacifique Jubilate will be making his move into college basketball this September after signing his letter of intent with the CMU Blazers.

"Pacifique is a phenomenal athlete and an even better person. He was an absolute pleasure to coach," said Jubilate's high school coach, Colten Gryba. "His ability to get to the rim and defend will be big assets for him at the next level. CMU is getting an amazing young man and a great basketball player."

Women's Volleyball Jumps North To Sign Cross Lake's Dennita Cameron

Dennita Cameron is the newest young athlete to sign on with the CMU Blazers to play Women's Volleyball in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference in 2019-20. Hailing from the northern Manitoba community of Cross Lake First Nation, Cameron was honoured by the Manitoba Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Council in 2018 as the province's Female Athlete of the Year - a major award worthy of an athlete who has a very bright future.

2019-20 NIAC Men's Basketball Regular Season Schedule Released

Monday afternoon marked the day for the final schedule of the 2019-20 regular season to be made public by the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference, that being the Men's Basketball schedule for the three MCAC members competing south of the border in the American Midwest's, Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The CMU Men's Basketball roster reset will look as fresh as the new 2019-20 schedule when rookie head coach Scott Martin gets his first look at the international conference with a home preseason test against the Turtle Mountain Mighty Mikinocks to start the month of November.

The Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, in conjunction with the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference, released the 2019-20 NIAC regular season schedules for the three Manitoba members of the American-Midwest conference on Monday afternoon as the Blazers embark on a new campaign with the intent of defending their 2019 provincial championship and shooting for a second banner south of the border. Their sights now firmly set on bringing MCAC basketball into the conference's Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association membership, CMU will continue to put their competitive level to the test against CCAA teams north of the border in new season, with a western road trip into Wild Rose Country this preseason.

Women's Soccer Excited By The Addition Of Dakota Midfielder

Fresh off the high of a 2018 MCAC women's soccer championship, the Blazers continue to strengthen and grow their roster for the 2019-20 season, adding Dakota Collegiate and Windsor Park midfielder Ezri Trump. A relentless runner with strong technical skills, Trump helped the Lancers to an SCAC Zone Championship in her grade 12 season and led her club Windsor Park to an undefeated record in 2019, topping their WYSA under-18 division with a record of 13-1-0.
