Congratulations to Rayzanna Rempel of the Women's Volleyball Team on being selected the Papa Murphy's Take 'n' Bake Female Athlete of the Month for January. After failing to find a conference win in the opening half of the schedule, the second-year power led her team to 3 victories in the month of January including back to back wins over the ACC Cougars last weekend and a straight set win over the Red River Rebels earlier in the month.

Papa Murphy's Take 'n' Bake Male Athlete of the Month - January

Congratulations to Jon Hayter of the Men's Basketball Team on being selected the Papa Murphy's Take 'n' Bake Male Athlete of the Month for January. The rookie from Pinawa had three very noteworthy performances this month.

First, Hayter's 22 point output had CMU come within three minutes of knocking off the first place Red River Rebels. Then, two weeks later Hayter hit for another 22 points in a non-conference loss to the Trinity Lions in Ellendale, North Dakota.

Women's Basketball Opens Their Recruitment Season With Linden Christian Guard

CMU Women's Basketball is pleased to announce the commitment of Linden Christian's Sarah Townsend for the 2015-16 season. The 5'9 guard was recently recognized by Manitoba High School Sports as the Athlete of the Week for her tournament MVP performance in the St. Norbert Celtics Classic where she averaged 33 points per game, including a career high 40 point effort in the championship final that saw Townsend drop an amazing 11 three pointers.

Hayter Pours In 35 As Men's Basketball Grabs A Critical Win

Rookie guard Jon Hayter made good on 11-of-22 from the field for a monster statline of 35 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals as CMU topped the third-place College Wesmen 88-76 at the Duckworth Centre on a rare Thursday night game in MCAC Men's Basketball.

The Blazers led 41-37 at the half and finally found a way to put together a consistent third and fourth quarter to help them collect their second win of the season in conference play.

Kicking Off A New Copa Season In Brandon

The indoor soccer tournament that began at CMU four years ago continues to gain momentum and awareness as the Copa de la Paz enters its first leg of the 2015 festival this weekend in Brandon, Manitoba. The tournament first received mention last June in an article in Canada's foremost Soccer Magazine, Inside Soccer and even more recently on the Futsal Canada website.
