Following public announcements released last week pertaining to Covid-19 vaccination requirements for all students participating in in-person learning in 2021-22 made by several post-secondary institutions in Manitoba, including Canadian Mennonite University, Blazers Athletics would like to set clear policies regarding athlete participation, mask use, and spectators during the first weeks of the academic year.  A portion of CMU's release is included at the end of this article; the full article can be found at www.cmu.ca.

Cobra adds Bite to Blazers Attack

The CMU Women's Volleyball program is very pleased to announce the commitment of Halle Meisner for the 2021-22 MCAC season. The product of Ashern Central School comes to CMU with a wealth of experience at the high school varsity and club level in Manitoba.

Like all Manitoba High School athletes this past year, Meisner had her last season of varsity volleyball taken away, but still has three years of varsity experience to draw upon when moving to the university level this fall. Throughout her time in high school Meisner was given the opportunity to train and play in the starting lineup with the varsity team, including during her seasons as a grade nine and ten student while still playing with the junior varsity squad. Playing on multiple teams during the year also gave her the opportunity to fill many roles, learning a versatility that would see her play in the middle and occasionally at setter when not asked to fill her usual spot on the left side.
