Athletic Facilities

In support of strong athletic programs, CMU offers high quality facilities to its student athletes.

On Campus

Gymnasium

Gymnasium

A full-sized and air conditioned gymnasium with a new hardwood floor located at 500 Shaftesbury Boulevard on the North side of Grant Avenue (the CMU gym is used by the Team Canada Women's volleyball program for their training camp).

Fitness Room

The CMU fitness room is adjacent to the gymnasium with weight machines, free weights and cardio exercise equipment (elliptical, treadmill, stepper and bike). The fitness room is accessible to current CMU students with a fitness room membership. Students can sign-up for memberships at the CMU reception desk during regular office hours.

The CMU fitness room will remain open to all students throughout the day and evening. Gym and fitness room hours are from 7:30 AM – 11:45 PM with prox card access after 5:30pm (prox cards are available from the South Campus receptionist). Students using the gym during evenings need to make sure they have vacated all buildings on the North side of Grant Avenue by 11:45 PM to prevent security alarms from sounding.
