Papa Murphy's Take 'n' Bake Female Athlete of the Month - October
Congratulations to Jenna Krumm of the Women's Soccer Team on being selected the Papa Murphy's Take 'n' Bake CMU Female Athlete of the Month for October. The rookie midfielder was a critical piece of her team's push to qualify for the 2014 MCAC Championship semi-final this month, capped by a playoff-clinching 1-0 win over the ACC Cougars at Shilo on October 5th.
"Jenna's confidence with the ball makes her a natural playmaker on our team," said head coach Deanna Zantingh, "She makes smart passes that transition us from a defensive position into an offensive position while placing her teammates in scoring positions."
Though her team managed only a single goal in their final two regular season matches of the season, the graduate of Bearspaw Christian High School in Calgary was instrumental in creating chances around the goal for her teammates and pushing herself and her teammates to get better. The season ended for the Blazers last weekend in the 2014 Championships Semifinals with a loss to the eventual champion Providence Pilots.
