Malcolm To Lead Women's Volleyball

CMU Athletics is very happy to announce the hiring of Eku Malcolm as the new head coach of the women's volleyball program.

Since 2008, Malcolm has been involved in coaching with the girls program at the University of Winnipeg Collegiate where he helped the Collegiate to Zone Championships from 2008-2011 and a 'AAA' Provincial Championship in 2010.

As Head Coach of  Winman Volleyball Club's 17u girls, Malcolm recently competed in the Provincial Championships in Portage la Prairie and will be traveling to Edmonton for Club Nationals later this month.

Malcolm studied at Menno Simons College and at the University of Winnipeg and has completed his Level-2 Coaching Certification. "We have a lot of confidence that Eku will do a great job continuing the great legacy our Women's Volleyball Program has within our conference," says Director of Athletics Russell Willms, "he has a strong vision for success and has shown sincere dedication in his coaching experience that will translate onto the court and into the program."

The new head coach is eager to get connected with the players and prospective athletes. Prospective players considering playing in the MCAC with CMU, can email Coach Malcolm at emalcolmwvb:@:cmu.ca to register for a women's volleyball identification camp that will be held at CMU in late May.
